Evolution, behaviour and ecology of social insects: moving in Temnothorax nylanderi

During this internship, I investigated collective nest movement decisions of ant colonies, using a small European species (Temnothorax nylanderi). I collected ant colonies in the field, brought them to the lab, and gave them the opportunity to choose between nests differing in light quality and parasitic threat.
